The weather-tightness test parameters, to which Norscot windows have been subjected, are the highest available. What is not readily understood, however, is that these tests, as stringent as they are, are often exceeded by the weather conditions experienced in some parts of the UK. Especially in the North and West of Scotland.

Consequently, when considering the size and/or design of windows, due account must be taken of the site location, orientation and topography. Failure to do so may result in premature window failure. Unfortunately, when we are asked to quote for the supply of windows, we are rarely told where they are to be sited. In these circumstances it is possible the products requested are inappropriate in terms of size and / or design.
